It's been exceptionally frigid in these parts for much longer than what is normal. Terribly cold. I can't imagine what might happen in this city should we have a power outage like some other communities in this large country of ours. After today, however, it seems there is going to be a break in the cold trend, at least for a few days, and we hope for more.
Looking ahead to warmer days (and perhaps a holiday down south where temps are definitely warmer :) i pulled out some fabric to make these two new skirts for O. It's a pattern I've used multiple times and it's so very satisfying for a novice sewer like me to be able to whip up something to wear for someone in a pretty short time.
